LAAA Member Travis Moore is pleased to announce an open call to all LA artists and for a music-themed art concert concept event â the first annual Art Jam!
Art Jam 2014 is Monday, October 13th at The Whisky a Go Go on the World Famous Sunset Strip
The event at The Whisky a Go Go will begin with VIP admission and reception at 7pm and general admission doors at 8pm.
Deadline for electronic submissions is Friday, October 3rd, 2014.
Art Jam-Preserving the integral connection between music and visual art, for future generations of artists to be inspired and to create!
This one night event is an Art Concert Concept that showcases the relationship between music and visual art. It is designed to promote new artists and their work through an exhibition of music inspired pieces, coupled with live art being created and live music being played.
This is a huge opportunity for all artists involved to exhibit and sell their work in a venue expressly designed to create sales for the artists. The event will draw an art-minded and music-inspired crowd that is excited to participate and to purchase.
The Art Jam Show is a one night exhibition and will consist of music inspired pieces in any medium, from both known and underground LA area artists. All artists in the LA area will be encouraged to participate, especially the local university and high school artists. The sales of all artwork will be a 50-50 split, and no fee to exhibit their work, if they are either a high school student or a member of LAAA. College and local working artists will be charged $20 and $30 respectfully for participation.
Followed by live entertainment beginning at 10PM, with the event ending at midnight and the after party and buyers reception beginning at the Rainbow Bar & Grill until the establishment closes.

Notification of confirmation of participation will be issued via email by Monday, October 5th, 5 pm and will include additional information about Art Jam including details and possible rewards as a participating artist.

In addition, a portion of the revenue from the show will finance our Art Jam Lecture Series, which is also looking to include artists and musicians from the Los Angeles Area.
The Music featured at Art Jam will be from a variety on genres, showcasing the many talents of those playing live during the event, and consist of as many local new undiscovered acts as possible to allow a greater appreciation of, and additional exposure for, all of those contributing musically to Art Jam!
The Art Jam Lecture Series will consist of multiple artists delivering “real world” advice to students on both the High School and collegiate level, surrounding the prerequisites for, and the requirements of, a career in Fine Art. It will offer the aspiring artists the opportunity to discuss important topics regarding a profitable career in art, with professional artists that are having success currently and have already “fought the fights” and have the experience and advice artists truly need.
